The Mission

As an IT OpsRisk Engineer you look after the availability, reliability of the EBICS supporting applications. The impact of what you are responsible for is huge. The field evolves fast and staying up-to-date and exercising technical leadership to help the organization stay at the forefront is of paramount importance.

You will work in the dynamic and challenging environment of the IT organization of ING Global Digital Channels. We operate according to a Scrum Agile development process and strongly believe in the DevOps approach to delivering IT solutions.

The squad operates partially vendor-based software (Axway) and partially own developed (Python / Java) applications.

Your day-to-day

  • Understand the need for security and apply it using the existing framework; constant communication about changes / coordinate and ensure change management;
  • Monitors and reports progress on identified issues / risks;
  • Define and document risk evidence in regards; make sure that the different risk parties agree with the evidences;
  • Responsible for creating documents and project management requirements or specifications;
  • Provide documentation support to the technical team; interface with developers and operation engineers to define the specifications;
  • Participate in automation program for process and evidence for IT risk;
  • Coordinate with team members to evidence / build tools that generate different evidence based on IT Risk controls requirements;
  • Coordinate the remediation for the vulnerabilities and security findings;
  • Ensure that patching is done in time for all our servers;
  • Provide IT Security requirements for applications and third-party contracts;
  • Interact with various technologies including, but not limited to Ansible, RHEL, Kibana, Oracle database, Azure DevOps tools;
  • Work with the team on the daily operational tasks.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline;
  • Confrontable to discuss incidents, changes with external Vendors.
  • 1+ years (preferably in software company or financial institution) in an IT Risk Analyst / Service Delivery or similar role;
  • Basic hand-on experience working with LINUX environments (sysadmin, patching, debugging, vulnerabilities fixing) will be a plus;
  • Familiar with IT Security concepts and terminology related to applications, databases, operating systems, and IT operations (patching, vulnerability scanning, backup strategy, high-availability, zero-day vulnerabilities, DR exercise, Penetration and DDOs tests).
