Global Engineering Projects Manager

Position purpose :

The incumbent of this position ensures the best use of new and surplus for replacement, rejuvenation, capacity increase, and sourcing projects in JTI factories. Provides engineering studies of equipment for global capacity right sizing and optimization of sourcing platforms. You will be responsible for assessing and qualifying new technologies, projects planning, and implementation support in close cooperation with relevant global functions and factories. Ensures up to date, accurate global specific equipment asset database in cooperation with factories. Development and maintenance of Global machinery standards and acceptance procedures. Maintain CAPEX plans for relevant projects.

The position will be based in Bucharest and will be reporting to Global Engineering Make & Pack Assets & Projects Director.

What will you do - Responsibilities :

• Optimizing the use of new and surplus equipment in JTI factories by evaluating replacement, rejuvenation, capacity increase, and sourcing projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets in line with IWS IM (Initiative Management) approach
• Conducting comprehensive global engineering studies to ensure optimal capacity alignment and sourcing platform optimization. Developing alternative machine plan scenarios aimed at right-sizing capacity and enhancing sourcing efficiency
• Conducting and facilitating engineering studies to support business development projects and equipment assessments.
• Assessing and integrating cutting-edge technologies and equipment to enhance operational efficiency across JTI factories, prioritizing advancements in safety, quality, service, and cost-effectiveness
• Managing and maintaining JTI's global asset register and EAM SAP machine database for making and packing, as well as the OTP field. Development and documentation of machine specification standards, acceptance and qualification test standards, and product dimensional specifications for RMC and OTP, aligning closely with R&D.
• Maintenance of CAPEX plans for relevant projects
