PPA Origination & Commercial Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• PPA Origination & Business Development :   Identify, engage, and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with corporate off-takers, utilities, and energy traders.
• Market & Regulatory Analysis :  Monitor and analyze Romanian and EU energy markets, regulatory changes, and pricing trends to develop PPA strategies.
• Contract Structuring & Execution :  Develop and negotiate Term Sheets, Heads of Terms, and full PPA agreements, ensuring alignment with project financing and risk tolerance.
• Merchant Risk & Hedging Strategies :  Assess and implement strategies to optimize project revenues in merchant and hybrid market structures.
• Financial & Risk Assessment :  Work with finance teams to model PPA cash flows, assess credit risks, and structure contracts to enhance bankability.
• Stakeholder & Relationship Management :  Build and maintain relationships with corporate buyers, energy traders, utilities, aggregators, and financing partners.
• Energy Trading & Market Access :  Evaluate opportunities for cross-border trading, virtual PPAs (VPPAs), and capacity market participation.
• Corporate Sustainability & ESG Alignment :  Collaborate with corporate buyers to align PPAs with their ESG and RE100 sustainability targets.
